Homemade soap made with used cooking oil. This is a recipe I learned from my mother, who learned from her mother...
Instead of throwing out the old and used coocking oil, we can use it to make soap and keep the planet and our home clean.
4 liters of used cooking oil
2 L of water
1 / 2 cup soap powder
1 kg of caustic soda (NaOH)
5 mL of flavoring essence (optional)
Dissolve soap powder in 1 / 2 L of hot water
Dissolve caustic soda in 1 ½ L of hot water
Slowly add the two solutions to the oil
Stir for 20 minutes
Add the flavoring essence
Pour into forms
Turn out the next day
